The Road Transport Authority (RTA) provides transport services between Dubai and other cities in the UAE. If you own a vehicle in UAE and have a fine on it, you can check your fines through RTA, which can help you check and pay your traffic fines online. You can get extensive details about different methods in this article and select the best way to pay your RTA fine.

Below, you can read all the methods that I have provided and choose the best method to pay your RTA fine.

Method 01: RTA Fine Check via the Official RTA Website

Step 01: First, go to their official website through this LINK

Step 02: On the homepage, click “Check Vehicle Expiry.”

Step 03: There will be two options:

  • By traffic file
  • By plate

Step 4: Put the relevant information in the box and click on “Check” or “Search” button.

Step 5: Now, you can see all your outstanding fines, and you can choose to pay through the website.

Method 02: RTA Fine Check via Dubai App

RTA also provides a mobile app for you to quickly check and pay your RTA fine by following these steps:

Step 1: The RTA app is available for Android and iOS smartphones.

Step 2: Open the app from the mobile’s interface and log in to your account.

Step 3: On the mobile interface, tap the “Vehicles & Fines” tab.

Step 4: Now tap on the “Pay Fine” button.

Step 5: Now you can select one of the three ways to see your fine:

  • Plate Type
  • Plate Code
  • Plate Number

Step 6: Now, you can see all your fines in the form of a list. Choose the fine you want to pay for, or select all fines.

Step 7: If you want to pay for the fines, then tap on the “Pay” button.

Step 8: You will receive an OTP on your email or mobile number. Enter the OTP and proceed to pay your fine.

Method 3: RTA Fine Check via RTA Website for Specific Parts of UAE

The people of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Fujairah have the option to check your RTA fine via the RTA website using more than four methods.

First, go to this website: https://ums.rta.ae/violations/public-fines/fines-search. Then, follow one of the four methods below to check your RTA fine.

Method 3.1: Via Plate Details

Step 1: in the Plate Source option, choose your city from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Then, choose one of the plate categories.

Step 3: Finally, enter your “Plate Code” and “Plate Number.”

Step 4: Click “Search” to check the details about your RTA Fine.

Method 3.2: Via License Number

Step 1: In the license number section, first choose your “License Source,” which is the city where you reside.

Step 2: Now enter the driver’s license number and click on “Search.”

Step 3: Review the details about your fine and pay for your fine.

Method 3.3: Via File Number

Step 1: First, enter your fine number from your received ticket.

Step 2: Now, choose where your fine is from from the “Fine Source” list.

Step 3: Finally, choose the “Fine year” from the calendar.

Step 4: Review the details and pay your fine.

Method 3.4: Via Traffic Code Number

In the Traffic Code Number section, you only need to write your Traffic File Number to view your fine.

Method 4: RTA Fine Check via GDRFAD Website

The GDRFAD also provides four methods to check your RTA fines, and you can pay through their website. First, you have to go to their official website:

Then, you can choose one of the following methods to check your RTA fine:

Method 4.1: Via File Number

Step 1: In the File Number section, first choose your “File Type” as either “Resident” or “Permit”.

Step 2: Then select the place from where the fine is issued.

Step 3: Enter your File Number from the fine ticket.

Step 4: Select your date of birth, and finally, choose your gender.

Step 5: Finally, click the “Submit” button to check your RTA fine.

Method 4.2: Via UDB Number

You only need your UDB number to check your RTA fine using this method. Then select your date of birth and gender, and finally click “Submit” to finish the process.

Method 4.3: Via Emirates ID

You can also choose to type only your Emirates ID if any other information is unavailable to you or you have lost your fine ticket. Enter your Emirates ID, select your date of birth and gender and then click on “Submit” to finalize your process.

Method 4.4: Via Passport Number

Step 1: First, type your passport number in the first box.

Step 2: Then choose your nationality from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Select your date of birth and gender.

Step 4: Finally, click “Submit” to check your Fine.

Method 5: RTA Fine Check via eforms.srta Website

The Government of Sharjah’s official website also provides several methods to check your fine in 4 ways which are as follows:

Step 1: First, go to their official website through this LINK.

Step 2: Choose one of the following methods:

  • Inquiry by Traffic Code Number
  • Inquiry by License Information
  • Inquiry by Plate Date
  • Inquiry by Fine Number

Step 3: Choose the Location of the Issue, such as Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Umm al Quwain, or Ras Al Khamian.

Step 4: Choose one of the methods from the above options and enter the relevant information in one of the boxes.

Step 5: Now click the “Send” button to check your RTA fines.

Method 6: RTA Fine Check via Self Service Kiosks

If there is a Kiosks machine nearby, then you can choose to go there to pay for your RTA fines. But first, you need your Emirates ID card and Credit card before going to the kiosk machine. Then you can follow the steps below:

Step 1: First, select the language of your choice.

Step 2: Select “E-Services” and choose “Fine Payment”.

Step 3: Put your Emirates card inside the machine in the relevant slot.

Step 4: Then, you need to log in using your Emirates ID.

Step 5: There, you can see all your fines. Click on “pay fine” to start your process.

Step 6: Now, put your credit card in the machine for the payment.

Step 7: You will be asked to enter your PIN code and then press the “OK” button.

Step 8: You will receive a notification stating that your fine is paid, and you will receive a receipt.

There are almost 32 smart kiosks in Dubai, and you can look for machines on the map quickly.
